Rice City School has been on the list of outstanding achievers since its inception. We provide a conducive environment for effective study of all subjects and help children discover their true potential and bring out their inherent abilities. Students get regular feedback and assistance from the teachers. New methods of teaching like audio-visual, story method, exploration & research, group discussions, art and music integration etc are used to make learning an enjoyable experience.   • Submission of the application form does not carry any guarantee of admission.

  • The age for admission should be in accordance with the statutory regulation of the Board of Education.

  • Transfer Certificate from the Schools of other states and other boards of education should bear the counter signature of concerned authorities.

Assessment Procedure

Examination

○ Trimester system with CCE (Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation) for Std I to VIII. CCE with Formative Assessment (40 marks) and Summative Assessment (60 marks).
○ Assessments are done Term-wise.

Formative Assessment

○ Takes place during the course of learning, so the students are assessed every day.
○ Activities and Slip tests conducted in the class are taken into account for the Formative Assessment.

Summative Assessment

○ Written exams conducted at the end of each term are taken for Summative Assessment.
○ Grades are awarded by adding Formative and Summative Assessments.
○ Monthly test and Terminal Exams are conducted for Std IX.
○ Cycle test, Monthly test and Terminal Examinations are conducted for Std X, XI and XII.
